Spooktastic Events in London this Halloween

DATED: 26.10.17

While Halloween is but one day a year for some, for others, it is an excuse to celebrate the ghostly, macabre and downright spooky happenings that have and do continue to happen in our capital city for a whole month! That’s right, the entire month of October is dedicated to celebrating events that give you chills and all the goings-on that make the hairs on the back of your neck stand to attention; so, who’s with us?

With haunted houses galore, spine-tingling activities left, right and centre, and a whole host of Halloween events, it’s hard to know where to start. London is certainly the place to be this October, however, so keep reading to find out where you need to be!

Spooky Tours and Events

It almost goes without saying that our Jack the Ripper Halloween tour is essential to get you into the Halloween spirit this October. In the heart of the East End of London, renowned for its spooky history and Jack the Ripper’s legacy, it’s all the more creepy at this time of year, so be sure to book your tickets to this not-to-be-missed walking tour!

The entire tour is jam-packed full of creepy real-life murder sites and haunted happenings to really put you through your paces. See if you can’t solve the mystery, too, with a hands-on look at crime scene evidence and a chat with Ripper experts.

If that has whet your appetite for solving mysteries, then look no further. The Natural History Museum is hosting Crime Scene Live for a night of murder mystery and intrigue – granted, one which isn’t quite as harrowing as the Ripper murders.

For more family-friendly events, why not explore the city’s many museums and galleries at night as part of their Halloween shenanigans? Alternatively, you could partake in a range of exciting tours and workshops including visits to some of the most famous graveyards that London has to offer.

Halloween on the Big Screen

What could be more thrilling on a misty October evening than watching your favourite horror movies on a big screen in the moonlight at Hampton Court Palace? Looking for something a little less chilling? Explore the Dark Arts and villains of Harry Potter’s Wizarding World over at the Leavesden studio tour, or watch a haunting play in the West End. There’s plenty to choose from, including spooky favourites like Wicked and The Woman in Black.

Near Death Experiences

Whilst they won’t actually kill you, a spooky night out could be just what you need this Halloween! Explore the latest chilling events at The London Dungeon or escape the city for Thorpe Park’s renowned Fright Night extravaganza.

With so much going on in London alone, it’s no wonder that the city has taken to celebrating all month long! Join us as we revel in all the horrors and delights that Halloween has to offer!

Not sure where to start? Try our Halloween Jack the Ripper tour for size and see where the night takes you! Book your tickets now to avoid disappointment.
